01What exactly is an Autominium™?+
An Autominium™ is a privately-owned, luxury garage condo built for motorsport enthusiasts, designed and built by motorsports partners, not a board room of investors. You own your unit — downstairs for cars, RVs, trailers and gear; upstairs as a customizable lounge, office, theatre or man/woman-cave. Customize within the Autominium™ Owners Association guidelines. Autominium™ is a trademark owned and protected by Garages Of The Americas Development.
02Where is GOTA, and is it part of Circuit of the Americas?+
GOTA is a 17-acre private community in Austin, Texas, directly across the street from Circuit of the Americas — under 200 feet from Lot T and roughly ⅜ mile to the main track entrance. We are an independent neighbor, not affiliated with COTA.
03What's the status of each phase?+
Phases I and II are fully sold out. Phase III is almost sold out — a handful of units remain. Phase IV is the final release; the waitlist is open by private inquiry.
04How is GOTA priced compared to other garage-condo complexes?+
Our units are finished, not as bare shells. Most complexes sell a white-box and then charge owners $50k–$200k+ to add things we include by default — second story, AC/heat, thermal doors and windows, sheetrock and painted walls, lighting, adequate electrical, plumbing, stairs. They are move-in ready, not ready for your checkbook for the basics. Contact us for current Phase III & IV pricing.
05Can I customize my unit?+
Yes — extensively. Build out kitchens, full or half baths, lounges, offices, bars, game and theatre rooms. We don't act as a middleman on customization; you work with your own contractors or an A.O.A.-approved supplier. All plans are reviewed by the Owners Association.
06Can I live in my unit?+
Units are not approved for permanent or long-term residency, but you have 24/7 access and occasional overnight stays are acceptable. Mixed-use residence buildings are under consideration based on demand.
07Can I run a business or lease my unit?+
Leasing the whole unit is allowed with A.O.A. approval. Some harmonious businesses are permitted; retail / walk-in / animal / kitchen uses are not. Sub-leasing individual car spaces is not allowed. Contact us with questions on restricted uses.
08Can I combine units, and how big can they get?+
Yes — units can be combined up to roughly 45,000 sq ft (plus the second-story footprint). 14' garage doors and 14' clearance under the second story accommodate RVs, tall trailers and car lifts.
09Can I resell my unit?+
Yes, no restrictions and no first right of refusal. Many owners will customize aggressively and plan to resell at some point with significant premiums as the complex completes.
10Is financing available?+
Yes — a preferred local Austin lender works on both unit purchase and build-out financing. Talk to us and we'll make the introduction.
11What's the deal with RAFA Racing Club?+
RAFA Racing Club operates a Performance Centre on the GOTA property. Every owner receives reciprocal access to the Performance Centre at no cost — including household and First Owner benefits — so the whole family can have access. RAFA members have reciprocal access to the Clubhouse and from time to time may host RAFA member-only programs and events. RAFA offers GOTA special pricing across the RAFA Family of Companies offerings.
12Are there tax advantages?+
The entire property sits inside a federal Opportunity Zone, which can provide meaningful tax advantages for qualifying investors. There are also tax advantages for owning commercial property related to accelerated deprecation. Consult your tax advisor.
13How do I reserve a unit?+
